We have the following horses for adoption! Please email us or call for more information! Not all of our horses are listed, so please email of you are looking for something specific!

Name: Dugati
Gender: Gelding
Height 15"4'
Breed: Thoroughbred
Temperament: 3

Comments: This 6 year old sweetheart needs a home with someone interested in dressage, trail riding or flatwork! Retired eventer, race horse, show horse. Great shape, well loved, needs another fantastic home!

Name: Penny
Gender: Mare
Height: 15”
Age: 11
Breed: Thoroughbred
Injuries: abuse case
Temperament: 7

Comments: This special horse needs a home with someone who will understand where she came from and how far she has come.

She was rescued in very bad shape, rehabilitated, and after a years worth of handling, love and care, she still has her moments.

She has truly come a long way to heal. We finally can see that there is hope for her to go on as someones special horse.

Needs one owner with a small herd and lots of love to give. Can be ridden. Penny is a sad case. Her face has been broken in several places. She was starved to the point that she almost died. Penny has a lot of trust issues - wouldn't you? She is looking to belong to someone who will give her lots of love and trust to help her heart heal. We've been working with her and she has really come around. Trust has replaced fear, and her anxiety level is so much lower. Really good horse, special home only.

Snowflake

This pony is just the most adorable pony ever. Bring Snow Flake home and enjoy him for all the seasons! This 11 year old cutie-pie does have great ground manners, easy going for the farrier, likes attention. But, our little SnowFlake will need a patient, experienced rider as he has been a pasture puff for a while. He is quite the spoiled puff, so bringing him back to work with a firm, but caring, hand is important.
No medical issues. Great project horse! It doesn't have to be Christmas for you to take a Snowflake home ! This horse is not at our facility, we are placing him for the owner!

Adoption fee - $500.00

Name: True Colors
Gender: Mare
Height: 15’3”
Age: 5
Breed: Tb
Injuries:None
Temperament: 4
Comments: Tink was sired by Fusaichi Pegasus, who was a Triple Crown runner and amazing athelte. He was purchased for 4 million dollars as a 3 year old!

This mare is a 5 year old show prospect. Dainty and sweet, she will make a lovely jumper or dressage horse.

Tink aproximately 15'4", delicate build. She can be nervous in new situations and will require an experienced and patient handler. Very flashy, excellent mover and suitable for an advanced rider, as she will need someone who will continue her training and leadership skills.

She is currently doing flatwork, no jumping or dressage but stay tuned - she is super intelligent and is sure to make someone a wonderful prospect! Quiet and willing, friendly mare!

George

George is the special guy who started our rescue 8 years ago! They say some things go full circle! He was returned to us after the family who had him lost interest. George is so sweet and wonderful - he's like a really big dog. Bows, shakes hands, licks faces and will follow anyone who has a treat. No vices, this horse is kind to the depths of his soul. Can be ridden lightly - the years of racing and showing really took a toll on him. He is currently sound with supplements. Would be suitable for small childern, or timid adults. He is 17' tall and is 15 years old. LOCAL HOME ONLY, NO LESSON PROGRAMS

Sgt. Burns

Sgt. Burns aka Burns has a funny personality. He loves to see and grab everything that you are using. He likes to playing tug 'o war with the lead rope while being led in from the field. He has been started on Parelli natural horsemanship and is doing great. This horse is so intelligent and loves attention. Enjoys the company of small children. No vices, started under saddle and is doing very well in walk/trot. Not cantered yet due to balance in the saddle. We're getting there!

Valentino

See his video here: http://s261.photobucket.com/albums/ii70/summerwindsstables/?action=view&current=0b6bcbc2.pbr

This guy is magestic, fluid and captivating when he moves. He is a huge black TB gelding, saved from the kill pen. He has been started with Natural Horsemanship, only 6 years old, no medical history. Needs an experienced rider to finish his training. He has an amazing race record and even better bloodlines. This guy would excel at dressage or hunter, but needs a confident handler with a ton of patience. Adoption fee: $650.00. Adopted on April 13, 2007! Just an update! Valentine is loved so much by his new owner, a 20 year old rider who is ready to excel with him in the show ring! We are so pleased that this horse got such a wonderful new home!!!!

Name: Cotton-eyed Joey
Gender: Gelding
Height:16
Age: 8
Breed: Thoroughbred
Injuries: Blind in one eye
Temperament: Easy going
Comments: Joey is blind in one eye but that doesn’t stop him from being a perfect gentleman! This guy really needs a sponsor because finding him a good, loving home is going to be so hard. Saved from the kill pen and an awful fate. Do you have room in your heart to be loved by Joey?

Adopted on April 13, 2008 with his friend Valentine! Valentine and Joe are inseperable! Despite his limitations, Joe is now trail riding all over the farm, making friends! His new owner is also crafting a skin-toned eye patch for Joe when he's out and about!!! What a wonderful success!

Joy Joy Joy
Everytime I see this horse I feel like Jumping for Joy. She's such a happy little mare. Quiet, kind and ready to find a new home. We know she will be great with a teen or a 'tween. W/T/C, pretty liver chestnut with a ton of potential to do local shows, trails or just as a pleasure horse. Likes people - she is at our Warwick farm, and every time I call her name, she trots joyfully right to me. (Naturally, there are treats in my pockets...but she does come very willingly). This mare is 4 years old, raced and retired kindly. Joy was adopted by a 14 year old girl who plans to show her in baby green this year! We are so excited for them!!!!!
