The SummerWinds Stables, a non-profit equine rescue, is pleased to offer day camps for girls aged 9 – 15. This is a unique and comprehensive educational opportunity featuring

• Horse knowledge
• Safety around horses
• Grooming & Care
• Exercise in the saddle
• Equine Massage
• Stable Management
•Horse Behavior

Reading materials will be distributed or recommended for home study. Campers will work one-on-one with recued horses as they learn medical, emergency and daily care.

Our riding instructors are experienced, highly trained horse professionals who realize their important roles as mentors to camp participants. Children will enjoy horse related games, crafts, and activities while making new friends in a safe, non-competitive environment. Campers will know what it feels like to have their very own horse during their time at the farm. Horses have an amazing effect on people. Develop confidence, self esteem, problem solving skills, and listening skills. Learn how to groom saddle and ride. Loose fitting clothing, helmet and boots with a heel are required for day camps.

Cost - $200.00 per week, Camps run from 9am – 3:30pm Mon – Fri. Wear loose fitting clothes and boots with a heel. Must pack lunch daily.
