Meet our Residents & Program Horses
These are some of our success stories. These horses have been saved by generous donors and volunteers - and of course the families who open their hearts and pastures. Check out their stories, some of these horses continue to live at the stable, participating in our many youth and adult programs.Candy
Words cannot express how sad we are that Candy is gone, but we are thrilled that she is now being spoiled at a wonderful facility with a woman who loves only her and her three pasture buddies. She is a wonderful horse that will be missed, and one that has touched so many with her gentle heart.
Misty
Misty, our sweet and willing pony, found a home with an adorable little boy who saved his allowance for a whole year to adopt her. It was love at first sight and the two have trotted off into the sunset! We will miss you, Misty!
Sassy
Sassy, a QH/Percheron cross was adopted by a woman who hopes to trail ride into the sunset. A fantastic horsewoman, Sassy will want for nothing in her new home. We wish you both much happiness!
Julliet
Julliet, our resident Belgian, was adopted by Green Gate Farm in Princess Anne. Julliet shall be spoiled by the women who come for healing, therapy and love. Julliet hates to be ridden, but will stand forever to be loved on. We couldnt think if a better place for her!
Little Loni Lu Lu
This story is an inspiration to all kids who want a horse of their own. Lottie was adopted by a 14 year old boy who spent his entire summer working for her. He worked at home, mucked stalls, worked at the SWS and babysat for this horse. He also kept up with his chores and met his parents' demands. He took lessons on her prior to adopting and the two formed a wonderful bond of friendship that will not soon be lost. This horse truly has a special home and we are thrilled that they found one another.
Pokey AKA Sundancer
Pokey, a baby dapple grey TB mare, was left by her owner, due to a fast relocation. She was adopted by a Parelli student who plans on training her and loving her very much. We couldn't be happier - and neither can Pokey!
